sobees lite / sobees My Friends uses a Facebook connection screen to connect to your Facebook account, so that no information is communicated to sobees during the authentication process (Facebook manages everything).

When login in, you will get the following screen. First thing, you need to enter your credentials for the identification.

When connecting to a service (such as Twitter, Facebook or MySpace), a pop-up window should appear in your browser so that you can safely enter your credentials. If nothing happens, it means that you first need to allow pop-up windows. The pop-up window contains fields belonging to the service you want to add in sobees for you to enter your credentials. The advantage of this method is that you never give us your password, you make a login on the service you want to connect and this service sends an authorization to sobees.

Following is a small user guide to help you do it depending on your browser.

At the bottom right of your screen a message says that a pop-up is blocked.

When launching sobees for the very first time, after having downloaded it from our website, you will discover the following window, which contains the list of all the available services:

We have implemented an oAuth connection in all our applications, which means that all authorizations are managed directly by the service you want to connect to. Thanks to this method, no password will ever be stored or shared on sobees.

Telling your friends what’s on your mind is a common feature in all the services like Facebook, Twitter and MySpace.
In sobees, you will find a button (speech bubble icon) at the top of each column for you to update your status on the service you are connected to.




In addition to the common functionality of updating the status, we provide additional features. Following is a quick guide for each service!

sobees has been translated into different languages and is currently available not only in English but also in French, German, Italian and Spanish. And there are more to come!

Should you want to change the language of your application (English being the default one), just head to the Options.

If you wish to add a new service, simply click on the “Add a service” button.

Every time we release an upgrade of sobees, you will be automatically notified a short while after having launched the application. It will be updated the next time you launch sobees.

Should you want to restore the older version of sobees after having upgraded it, go to “Programs and Features”, search sobees and select "Uninstall/Change". A pop-up window will ask you if you want to restore or remove the application. Select "Restore the application to its previous state".
